Known for its ethereal natural beauty, geothermic activity, mystic history and expensive beers- this tiny island country has big things to discover!
While most visitors hit the well-trodden golden circle, blue lagoon and south coast this journey will take you in the other direction- the west fjords. Leaving the throngs of tourists behind we’ll venture to this awe-inspiring region on a week long adventure. We are teaming up with Crisscross, a hyper-local, women-owned tour operator that specializes in off-the-beaten path adventures and farm tours. We have carefully crafted an itinerary that will give an unparalleled experience to this wondrous country.
This 8 day journey will start and end in Reykjavik. In our private van, we wind our way north-west of this city to the Snaefelles Peninsula and eventually cross over into the west fjords. If seeing a more pristine, less-traveled part of Iceland is what you are wanting than this tour is for you!
In addition to seeing some jaw-dropping landscapes, we will connect will local goat and sheep farmers that will educate us on Icelandic farming and the products they produce. There is also ample time to stretch our legs and connect with nature through bike rides, horse-back riding, hiking, and kayaking. Other immersive activities include plant-dyeing workshop, cooking class, visit to the shark museum and of course luxurious soaks in many spas!
