While most visitors hit the well-trodden golden circle, blue lagoon and south coast this journey will take you in the other direction- the west fjords. Leaving the throngs of tourists behind we’ll venture to this awe-inspiring region on a week long adventure. We are teaming up with Crisscross, a hyper-local, women-owned operator that specializes in off-the-beaten path adventures and farm tours. We have carefully crafted an itinerary that will give an unparalleled experience to this wondrous country.

Visit multiple farms and learn about the life of an Icelandic farmer.

Day 1: Arrival to Reykjavik
You will be met at the airport in the morning. We’ll explore the city on foot. In the evening we will attend a cooking class followed by dinner.
Day 2: Farms & Food
We’ll make multiple farms visits, see sheep and goats and learn about the life of Icelandic farmers.
Day 3: Snaefelles Peninsula
We will circumnavigate this mysterious glacier know for fishing and dramatic landscapes.
Day 4: Ferry to the West Fjords
After a leisurely bike tour in the morning we’ll hop the ferry and cross the Breidafjordur Bay.
Day 5: Puffins & Waterfalls
See puffins up close at the Latrabjarg cliffs. We will wind our way through the natural wonders of this area including Dynjandi waterfall.
Day 6: Isafjordur
This day will be more relaxing and allow time to wander around this quaint town.
Day 7: Arctic foxes & horses!
There might be a chance to spot the elusive arctic fox on our journey through this beautiful valley. After lunch there will be an opportunity for riding Icelandic horses.
Day 8: Back to Reykjavik
So many things to see on our journey back! We will visit a crater, geothermal spa and a witchcraft museum before settling back into Reykjavik.
Day 9: Departures or extension
Departures will be out of Reykjavik airport or your extension program begins.
