Rest & Renew Overview

February 16-22 2019

This all women's retreat provides an opportunity to cultivate self-care and compassion. It creates a space to relax and reflect through mindfulness, meditation and yoga practice led by Carlie Grob from Portland, OR. This trip is slow in pace giving time to absorb the ocean surroundings and sink into yourself but also leaves room for adventure and community involvement.  Wash away daily stress, ground yourself in the now, open your heart to new friends and expand with adventure.

This often visited but rarely explored island is full of vibrant communities, delicious eats, gorgeous beaches and dense jungles. Paddle board through hidden mangroves, zen out with sunrise yoga and meditation overlooking the ocean and eat healthy and nutritious food prepared  by your private chef.

We partner with the Mariposa Foundation, helping empower female youth. We visit and engage with the participants' communities learning about life on the island for women.  We also visit an organic farm where we meet local workers, taste exotic fruits and learn about permaculture practices.

If you seek a retreat that allows time to yourself but also shows the way of life on the Dominican Republic, this trip is for you!  It is for all ages and skill levels. Check out the itinerary here: Rest and Renew Itinerary

  • Our trips are small in size for a more intimate experience that allows access to places untouched by tourism and wiggle room for spontaneous moments- keeping the itinerary fresh and fun!
  • Our accommodations are in a off the beaten path surf lodge away from the hustle and bustle of town. It is a place to breath, center and renew. There is a platform overlooking the ocean for yoga, your own private pool and lounge.
  • We collaborate with ethical organizations such as Mariposa Foundation helping empower young females.  We interact with local communities, women and learn about the Dominican Republic beyond its beautiful beaches.
